Manager, Business Transformation
Annex completed an executive search for a government client for a Manager, Business Transformation. Although the role is a Manager in title, it is a Director in responsibility. The successful Manager will oversee a new Business Transformation group which includes a PMO, a large team of PMs, a large team of BAs, and a change manager. The new Manager is responsible for the delivery of 150+ projects in the PMO. The Manager will also advocate for business transformation across the organization, including helping to train business unit leaders and create a culture of continuous improvement. It is expected that the new Manager will eventually lead an enterprise PMO that will report to the client’s equivalent of a COO.
Annex’s search was led by Stacey Cerniuk, Annex’s CEO, leveraging his 25 years of IT solutions and search experience, and was supported by Soraya Savji and Jaime Oetter in Annex’s recruitment team. The process started with a discovery stage, including a workshop with key client stakeholders. Annex prepared and executed a comprehensive sourcing strategy resulting in 550 applicants for the role from across the country. Next, a detailed, multi-phase screening process was applied to generate a strong short-list of qualified candidates. An even more rigorous screening process was completed to identify competition finalists. Following comprehensive background checks, reference interviews and testing, an offer of employment was presented to the preferred candidate and accepted. Annex is currently conducting service management with client and candidate over the course of the guarantee period to ensure both parties are delighted with their decision.

Annex’s Permanent Staffing division recently placed four employees who will be an integral part of new business contracts for our well-established transportation client. Annex placed a Development / Test Environment Lead who will be responsible for creating complex environments for both the QA and Development teams. These environments assist both teams with implementing and testing new applications and servers. This Lead plays a vital part in our client’s infrastructure team because they ensure every new application and server runs smoothly without disruption to the business. Over the past 20 years, Annex has worked talented QA professionals on hundreds of QA projects with various public sector clients.
