Annex successfully placed a volunteer Project Manager at the Stroke Recovery Association of British Columbia.  The vision of this non-profit organization is that every stroke survivor in BC has respect, inclusion, and support in their home community. Its mission is that through its local Stroke Recovery Branches, SRABC is committed to assisting stroke survivors and their caregivers throughout the province to improve their overall quality of life. For more information, please visit www.strokerecoverybc.ca.

Shamir Naik, one of Annex’s client managers, has a family connection to the Nourish Charitable Foundation Society.  It is a small non-profit society that was formed by a group of women from the Tri-Cities area (Pitt Meadows, Port Moody and Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada) to address a need within the community.  They provide a hamper of healthy, non-perishable food items to single mothers who are leaving the Tri-Cities Transition House, a temporary safe haven for women and children escaping abuse, to live independently.  If you would like to participate with a donation or require further information, please contact Brenda Carmichael, President, at 604-727-8462 or by email to Roshni Naik roshninaik@shaw.ca.  Annex proudly supports the Nourish Charitable Foundation Society.

PM-Volunteers.org™ (PM-V) is a grassroots initiative of the project management community.  Its mission is to mobilize the project management community in order to generate high value, skilled volunteer project management services for the Not for Profit community and charitable organizations.  There is no cost to participate in the initiative as a skilled volunteer or to the NFP organizations that work with PM-V.  Stacey Cerniuk has been appointed a member of the Advisory Board for PM-V.  Annex has worked with PM-V to raise awareness of volunteer project management roles and to recruit volunteer PMs for NFP organizations.  Stacey is proud to strengthen his relationship with PM-V as an advisor.  For more information, visit http://www.pm-volunteers.org.
