Annex Consulting Group recently launched a growth strategy to expand and grow its current business operations and market share over the next three years. As a means of executing the strategy, several initiatives were launched in early 2009 as part of an overall "Summit" operational plan:
"We took the opportunity presented by a soft economy to prepare this plan and execute key elements of it, positioning us for strong growth during the upcoming economic recovery", said Stacey Cerniuk, President and CEO of Annex. "We are focused on growth while continuing to provide the great service and value we are known for".
Tom Dutta, Chief Operating Officer of Annex was charged with leading the Annex team and implementing the "Summit" initiatives. The following milestones were achieved over the past year:
- Implementation of a new Value based sales approach to deepen Annex customer relationships, deliver more value to Annex customers and prospects, and be perceived in the market as a strategic resource versus just a vendor. The entire Annex sales leadership team participated in a two day workshop to complete the learning of the process.
- Evaluated, selected and implemented an enterprise application tracking and CRM system.
This new system will benefit Annex customers by delivering quicker searches for resources, improved quality of resources enabling higher customer satisfaction, and a better customer relationship experience resulting from an enterprise wide view of information available to Annex.
This new system will benefit Annex consultants with better opportunities and personal visibility through a soon to be launched state of the art consultant web portal. The portal will make updating of information and access to Annex job boards easy and more efficient for all consultants.
- Achieved other Summit milestones: implemented a new hybrid HR Management process to enable more success in achieving Annex business goals by aligning corporate goals through its hard working diverse team; hired a new Sales and Marketing coordinator and expanded the sales and marketing support for the organization, implemented sound business continuity processes in line with Annex growth plans including outsourcing IT support while refocusing internal resources on business growth activities; and raised the brand awareness of Annex in the marketplace through a stronger sales and marketing focus. "We've been out more to tell the Annex story and learn more about our customers' and prospects' business issues", said Tom Dutta. "We expect to make our competitors nervous over the next year".
