CIPS (Canadian Information Processing Society) is the professional association for Information Technology (IT) practitioners in Canada. Founded in 1958, CIPS is a non-profit organization that represents more than 6,000 IT professionals on important issues affecting the IT industry and profession. Stacey Cerniuk is a member of a local task force working to resurrect the CIPS Vancouver section which has been dormant for one year. Odd Squad Production (OSP) is a non-profit society created in 1998 by seven Vancouver City Police officers. Its mission is to educate the public about the devastating effects that high- risk behavior has on members of our community. Odd Squad creates high-quality, reality-based documentaries designed to give youth the knowledge to avoid the pitfalls of drug abuse and other life-altering anti-social and criminal behavior and to assist them in making rational choices about a wide range of social problems. The Anthony Robbins Foundation is a non-profit organization created to empower individuals and organizations to make a significant difference in the quality of life for people who are often forgotten – youth, homeless and hungry, prisoners, elderly and disabled. Tom Dutta, Annex COO, is a Coordinator for The International Basket Brigade within the Anthony Robbins Foundation. The Brigade is built on a simple notion: one small act of generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of hundreds. It takes only one light to dispel the darkness, and even just one basket or a few, to bring hope! A Basket Brigade takes place when one individual prepares one basket to personally deliver to a needy family or individual.
