Celebrating its fifteenth anniversary, the Branham300—the most comprehensive listing of publicly traded and privately held IT companies in Canada—is published annually and highlights Canada’s top IT companies. This definitive listing represents a truly insightful piece of intelligence on the Canadian information technology market, and has become over time the premier ranking of IT companies in Canada. The ranking of Canadian companies is based on worldwide revenues, whereas multinational firms are ranked strictly on revenues earned within Canada.
The list consists of the following categories: Top 250 Canadian IT Companies, Top 25 IT Multinational Companies operating in Canada, and Top 25 Up and Comers IT Companies. Companies must meet three of the following criteria to be considered a Canadian company for the purposes of applying for the Branham300 other than the multinational listing:
1 – The company was founded in Canada and their headquarters
remain in Canada;
2 – Over 50% of their employees are located in Canada;
3 – Corporate direction is determined in Canada; and
4 – Over 50% of their research and development activities are
conducted in Canada.
